Bracing rod 1.5–2.5 m
Support brace / bracing rod
Stainless steel chimneys that extend unsupported for 3 metres or more above the roof or roof edge require additional stabilisation with support braces, also known as bracing rods. They also provide extra protection during storms and against snow sliding from the roof in severe winters.
The braces can be individually adjusted between the two specified lengths. Installation is simple: one end clamps around the chimney element, while the other is fixed to the roof or house wall, using angle brackets if necessary.
Important information when combining components from different manufacturers to build stainless steel chimneys
Different manufacturers, different terminology, different dimensions – a consequence of a globalised world. Please therefore note: the diameter specifications for original OSKAR stainless steel chimney components always refer to the internal pipe diameter. With insulation approximately 25 mm thick, the resulting outside diameter is five centimetres larger.
